Stan is widely known as one of California’s premier coastal land use lawyers. Over the span of four decades, Stan has successfully represented clients before the California Coastal Commission and coastal cities and counties throughout California.
Stan has guided clients through all types of administrative and regulatory proceedings before the California Coastal Commission. He has successfully litigated cases against the Coastal Commission and has worked with Coastal Commission staff and legal counsel to defend project approvals.
Stan is at the forefront of the most important landowner rights issues in the California coastal zone, including constitutional rights to protect property, sea level rise regulations and public access.
Stan has been qualified as an expert on land use and California coastal practice in court. He has been a featured speaker at California coastal policy forums and has co-chaired Coastal Act conferences involving Coastal Commission members and staff along with local government officials from around the state.
